Home Sweet Home....well almost!

Today was a really exciting day for us. We closed on our new house back down in Tupelo! During our vacation in March we were fortunate enough to find the perfect home for us. I haven't commented on it until now because as we all know, nothing is certain in real estate until the ink has dried.

Today the paperwork is done and the only problem is that we are still in Boston! The previous owners will be renting the house from us until we move back on July 1. The house was built in the 1930s and is in the English Tudor style. (you can click on the picture for a larger view)
We just can't wait to move in a couple of months and are already making some big plans. My hands are really itching to get out in the yard and do some real work. And I can't help but imagine how it will look outlined in Christmas lights!
This weekend was really nice and we got to spend some time outside. Here we are before heading out....
Here's Kenzie pointing at Jen in an Irish pub.
and reading the New York Times....(or maybe just a blank piece of paper)
and pointing again....it's her favorite thing to do these days!
The city is really looking beautiful these days. Here you can see a small park downtown with a beautiful fountain.

Every so often the group of Gerontology fellows get together outside of work. This weekend we had a picnic at a beautiful park in Brookline. Here you can see the water and weeping willows.

Kenzie and Jen hanging out with everyone on our picnic blanket.
Kenzie had her first experience on a big girl swing.....
 I think she likes it!

 Such a precious smile!
We also had our first slide experience. I think we like it too!
Here's Kenzie analyzing a golden yellow forthisia bush in the park....
We've developed a new favorite sleeping position. Whatever works for her, works for us!
And here's one last picture for the road.

Have a great rest of the week!

Ashley
