A Lot of Catching Up To Do

Well, I guess it's obvious how busy we have been. I intended to start this blog back in June when we first moved to Boston and now it is 2 and 1/2 months later! Kenzie is 3 months old now and has grown so much. I'll start trying to catch everyone up a little at a time.

The first challenge we faced while moving to Boston was actually getting here. It took nearly 4 days by car, stopping frequently to feed Kenzie. You can see the picture that shows the view I had in the rear view mirror all the way-Jennifer and Kenzie!

The nights were the most difficult, having to move a bassinet and the TONS of baby stuff that I had no idea was needed to survive! But actually the most difficult part was moving Roman, our 7 year old cat. He technically wasn't supposed to be in the hotels (shhhhh...don't tell anyone) so I would have to sneak him in and out. Let's just say that it is surprising how much noise a cat can make. But as you can tell in the picture, he did his part to hide!

As we entered the outskirts of Boston, you can see the traffic that greeted us-Needless to say, we were not in Tupelo anymore.

The second challenge we faced was our living quarters. We were very fortunate to find a great apartment in the heart of the city but our furniture would not arrive via the movers for several days. Lots of work to do!!

I had to start work immediately but thank goodness for Jennifer's mother who came up to help us along. We made do with the little furniture we brought with us until the movers got here.

The view from our apartment!
