A Great Week!

We really had a great time with Kathy and Amber while they were here with us. Here's a great picture of Aunt Amber with Kenzie....
And here is a picture of Kenzie "enjoying" story time with Aunt Kathy!

We were really sad when Aunt Kathy and Amber left....we can't wait for them to come back! Here's a few more pics of their stay-

The group at Vapiano's, a local Italian restaurant

Kathy and Amber took the "Duck Tour".  A boat/bus
that drives around the city and into the Harbor!

We were lucky that Mrs Peg (Nana) got to stay another week.  Jennifer and Kenzie have really been enjoying their time with her.

Earlier this week they got to walk down to the Boston Farmer's Market....here's a couple of pics of the market.....

Jen and Kenzie back at home after a day on the town......
Kenzie might just be starting the teething process. She is drooling continuously and likes to chew on everything including Nana's hand!!

Here's another great picture of Kenzie and Jennifer....

Today we got to visit a beautiful place, the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. You can read more about it here...

Dad and Kenzie before our trip
Just a few hints of fall in the leaves I think.....
The Arnold Arboretum was founded in the 1800s after a large gift of land to Harvard University.  It is located in the Jamaica Plain/Roslindale area of Boston. There are nearly 250 acres of beautiful trees and landscaping. Each plant is tagged with it's name, country of origin and approximate age. We had a lot of fun walking around (just a small part) of the park.
Here are a few more pictures......
Hard to believe this is in the Boston city limits!
How old do you think this Bonsai tree is?
How about 273 years!!
If you don't believe me here is the proof-it was planted in 1737!

Have you all noticed that Kenzie gets to eat in some beautiful places?

After the Arboretum, Nana and Jennifer got to go to Wicked at the Boston Opera House.

Jennifer and Mrs. Peg in front of the theatre
The Boston Opera House was built in 1928 and restored and reopened in 1980. It is two blocks from our apartment!

Jen took a few shots from inside the theatre...pretty impressive!!!!
The amazing ceiling

The entryway
After the show (which they said was awesome) we all had Vietnamese carry out from Pho Pasteur-right next door to our apartment

Well that just about wraps up another great week! Jen snapped this shot of Kenzie hanging on to Dad's finger....

And one last shot of Kenzie for the road-

See you all next week!

Ashley
